Wombo

Poster art for Wombo: a wombat in a red cape and green sunglasses stands on red dirt in front of a wall of speakers.

A beige nobody, a radioactive wombat, and one bite from greatness.

Charlie Phoenix wanders into Cock Wash Creek, a mining town where Umbra Minerals sells poison as progress. Then a radioactive wombat bites his leg, and beige little Charlie wakes up with claws, a beard, crunchy abs and a new name: Wombo.

Mentored by the deadpan, chain-vaping Belladonna, Wombo has to decide what kind of hero he is before someone burns the whole town down. He'd really just prefer a nap.

A one-act EDM comedy musical. Book and lyrics by bGame.

Who's who

Charlie “Wombo” Phoenix The reluctant hero
Half man, half wombat, fully terrified. Runs on panic, protein shakes and the constant call of a nap.
Belladonna The mentor
Deadpan, chain-vaping, and hiding a scar that glows orange. Not your mate. Definitely not.
Declan Voss The villain
Linen suit and designer boots, selling “clean coal” with a TED-talk smile.
The Wombat Patient zero
Bites first. Naps second. Occasionally produces a perfect cube.
Fred the Dingo Always watching
Technically a stuffed animal. The audience will believe, and the growl does the rest.
